Project Overview
A Library Shaped by Natural Forms
This residential library pairs richly finished walnut cabinetry with patinated brass, custom metal grilles, integrated LED lighting, and hardware inspired by antlers and tree branches. CRMM carried the same material language into coordinating pieces, including a custom pedestal for a sculpture.
Completed
2022
Location
Little Rock, Arkansas
Scope
Walnut library cabinetry, metal grilles, integrated lighting, custom hardware, and coordinating furnishings

Design Challenge
Bringing Organic Motifs into Precise Millwork
The library required highly organized cabinetry without losing the warmth and irregularity of its natural references. Antler forms, branch-like hardware, and patinated metal details were balanced against carefully aligned panels, illuminated shelving, and fitted architectural trim.
Material Resolution
Walnut, Patinated Brass, and Custom Metalwork
Walnut establishes the room’s depth and continuity. Custom grilles give the upper cabinets a distinctive rhythm, while integrated LEDs illuminate the shelves without interrupting the millwork. Patinated brass and organic hardware add contrast and reinforce the room’s natural motifs.

Behind the Finished Work
From Rough Material to Resolved Detail
The installation brought cabinetry, lighting, metalwork, and hardware together as one carefully coordinated interior.
