Project Overview

A Historic Reference, Reinterpreted

After visiting Drayton Hall in South Carolina, the homeowner wanted a mantel that captured the character and proportion of its historic examples without reproducing any one design exactly. CRMM adapted the ornamentation to the client’s preferences, fabricated the piece in paint-grade hardwood, and completed it with a distressed painted finish.
