Woodworking, Metalwork, & Manufacturing

Custom millwork and metalwork shaped around the way your project needs to look, perform, and endure.

Who We Are

The Cache River Story

Our name takes inspiration from Arkansas’ Cache River basin. From our North Little Rock shop, we bring woodworking, metal fabrication, digital modeling, CNC machining, and finishing together for custom residential, commercial, and manufacturing work.

Who do you work with?

We collaborate with architects, designers, builders, manufacturers, and homeowners. Some clients arrive with complete drawings and specifications; others bring us a sketch, a reference image, or the beginning of an idea. Our team can meet the project wherever it starts.

Can you handle a project from beginning to end?

Yes. Depending on the project, our team can assist with concept development, material selection, engineering, digital modeling, prototyping, fabrication, finishing, delivery, and installation. That continuity helps preserve the original design intent from the first conversation through the final detail.

What exactly does Cache River Mill & MetalWorks do?

We design, engineer, manufacture, and install custom architectural millwork, cabinetry, furniture, metalwork, and specialty components. Our work spans residential, commercial, and manufacturing applications—from one-of-a-kind statement pieces to complex, large-scale installations.

Where is everything made?

Our work is produced in-house at our nearly 40,000-square-foot facility in North Little Rock. Originally completed in 1948 as the KC Baking Powder factory, the building now houses our wood shop, metal shop, manufacturing equipment, finishing areas, and offices.

Built Differently, By Design

1

Craft comes first

Every project is shaped by careful material selection, precise joinery, and a finish considered down to the smallest detail. We build work meant to perform beautifully—and keep doing so for years to come.

2

Tradition meets technology

Experienced hands and modern equipment work side by side in our shop. Digital modeling, CNC machining, and advanced fabrication help us solve complex problems without losing the character of true custom craftsmanship.

3

Made together, under one roof

Design, drafting, millwork, metalwork, finishing, and fabrication come together in our North Little Rock facility. Keeping more of the process in-house gives our team greater control over quality, coordination, and the finished result.

What Matters Here:

Craftsmanship

Details should be intentional, materials should be understood, and the finished work should reward close inspection

Integrity

We communicate what is known, what still needs a decision, and what a change will mean for the work.

Collaboration

The best outcomes come from early conversations among designers, builders, clients, and fabricators.

Resourcefulness

Custom work rarely arrives as a perfect repeatable problem. We combine traditional methods with digital tools to find a practical way forward.

Meet Our People

Craft and technical problem solving under one roof

Our projects often cross the boundaries between woodworking, metal fabrication, digital modeling, CNC machining, and finishing. Keeping those capabilities connected lets the people drawing a detail speak directly with the people who will machine, assemble, finish, or install it.
